About The Practitioners

Renee Woodruff, LMT

Renee has years of experience working as a medical massage therapist; working closely with a doctor, acupuncturist and chiropractor. She has hands on knowledge of what works well and her massages are truly therapeutic. With her assistance, clients were able to not need their pain medications, have their range of motion improved/returned, prevented needing surgeries, and got them back to feeling like they should. She has a wealth of experience in bodywork and has given thousands of treatments, successfully working on a wide variety of conditions.

Not only does Renee have an understanding of how to help clients heal, she also is very skilled at finding problematic areas that could lead to something more major, and then working on it to prevent problems down the road. The bodywork she offers focuses on getting the “knots” worked out. Her goal is to offer pain free deep tissue work, creating therapeutic change in the body. This type of work takes time and often involves working the muscles one layer at a time, gradually being able to do deeper work when the layers of adhesions and trigger points (“knots”) are released. It is a slower and more methodical approach and, from her experience, much more therapeutic than grazing over the surface to do a full body massage using the same time frame.

Renee is enthusiastic about understanding how the body works, the cause of pain and restricted range of motion, and how to help heal it; focusing on the root cause of the problem. She has a background in natural medicine and is also an herbalist that believes in a holistic, well rounded approach to healing.

A graduate of Finger Lakes School of Massage, Renee continues to attend workshops to increase her knowledge and bodywork skill set. Areas of extra study include rotator cuff release, deep tissue neck work, TMJD massage, anatomy workshops, and attending an herbal school. Loving to learn, she plans to continue her studies by taking many more workshops and learning new techniques.

Pam Yaple, LMT, MMT

Pam has years of experience as a massage therapist. She completed her certification in Kinesiotaping in 2012 and became certified as a Medical Massage Practitioner in 2016. Over the years, Pam has worked with a Chiropractor as well as in spas and currently owns her own business under the name of His Hands Massage Therapy.

As a Medical Massage Practitioner, Pam believes that massage is an integral part of one’s health and well being. Over the years, she has seen how beneficial massage can be in treating many conditions. She has worked with many different kinds of injuries and trauma, as well as with clients who wish an overall relaxing massage. Her clients have seen the benefits of her integrated treatments.

Pam’s philosophy is much the same as Renee’s as she seeks to “offer pain free deep tissue work”. She approaches the muscles by “melting” them layer by layer. In this fashion, the muscles allow deeper work without the pain. As each layer reveals issues, Pam addresses them before moving on to the next layer.

A graduate of Finger Lakes School of Massage, Pam seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and career. She loves attending workshops and working alongside of other therapists to learn new techniques and approaches to bodywork.
